Gearfire Sparks up Business all Across the Country

“It’s nice to put a smile on people’s faces and sell em’ freedom.” – Gordon Gray, SparksBlack Rifle

Sparks Black Rifle is a second-generation gun store that opened back in 2015 in Sparks, Nevada. However, the Black Rifle name has been around since 2005 when they opened their first location, Sacramento Black Rifle in Sacramento, California and now their newest in Boise, Idaho. Across all 3locations there are approximately 24 employees. Each location keeps the same business model as a full-service gun shop offering retail, assembly, and custom builds with great customer service.

“As strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment and our public safety officers we take pride in acquiring the best for those who protect us.”

After retiring from 32 years in Law Enforcement, Gordon Gray decided to start up his own firearms training business. Through teaching his training courses at Sacramento Black Rifle he met his now business partner, Rob.

“We just kind of clicked. We did a lot of classes at the shop for his customers to help grow both businesses, and we just kind of became friends. When the opportunity arose to come to Sparks, I jumped on it, and it’s been a wild ride to say the least.”

In 2017, Gordon came on board as partner at the Sparks BlackRifle location. Having a small showroom and knowing their website at the time would only allow them to offer a few items they had in stock, he started looking for other solutions. After another dealer highly recommended Gearfire, he decided to give us a shot. Sparks Black Rifle was the first location come onboard. Sacramento followed a couple years later, and we hope to see Boise join us here in the future as well.

“The nice part of Gearfire is the diversity in stock availability with our distributors. The ease of ordering and the constant updating every 10-15 minutes.”

Sparks Black Rifle has elevated their sales and now have customers from all over the country. By bringing in a larger range of items they are looking forward to growing their community and online sales even more in the future.

“We want to become a household name.”
