Gearfire celebrated its 5 year anniversary on February 29th, 2017. 5 years in business, with more than 1,400 dealers in the Network!

I took the opportunity to sit down and celebrate with Chad Seaverns, Gearfire’s Chief Operating Officer. They chatted about life, Gearfire and  5 Years of the “Premier” ecommerce platform for gun store owners.

Chad Seaverns is one of the original employees of Gearfire, and is responsible for the day-to-day leadership and general management of the company. Under his management, Gearfire consistently achieves year-over-year growth, expanding its customer base by 50 percent or more each year.

Here is what our COO had to say……

Tell me about your journey to Gearfire?   

I have been a serial entrepreneur all my life, having started several businesses and ultimately selling them. I was in between businesses at the time I was approached by the Gearfire founders to help execute the business plan. It was an amazing opportunity and a vision that I was confident would work.

Tell me about the culture at Gearfire? 

The culture at Gearfire has really developed into a place of positivity, cooperation and the genuine desire to help not only our customers to succeed, but also help each other. We also like to have fun!

What has surprised you most about your 5 Years at Gearfire?

The Gearfire team. Gearfire has amazing employees who really embrace the vision of Gearfire and work hard to ensure its success. I’ve never been involved in a company with such passionate employees who are willing to go the extra mile.

Where do you see Gearfire in the next 5 Years?

I see Gearfire being a household name like Cabela’s or Bass Pro Shops. Consumers will be drawn to our brand and think of us first to buy any supplies they need for their next outdoor adventure.

What do you enjoy outside of work?

I love spending time at home with my wife and two boys. I also enjoy riding dirt bikes, gardening and hunting.
